Prepping the new digs.

Scaling / August 27, 2007 / Alykhan Jetha

We’ve been looking for a new place for a while now. We’ve totally outgrown this place and we are literally tripping over one another here.

So far, for each of our moves, we’ve been pretty frugal. We’d look for a place that was pretty close to our needs, painted the place, brought in a good Internet connection and we’d be up and running.

We tried that this time, we tried really really hard, we tried for many months – but no luck. We’ve had to essential find an empty place and built it out to match our needs. We tried to do our own interior design, but it just didn’t feel right. After many tries, we ended with Mayhew, a locally renowned workspace design firm.

I must say, I’m quite happy with what they’ve come up with. Even though I’m not dealing with the details, this whole process is time consuming – especially the part where we try to make the whole thing fit our budget!

The location of the new place is a lot better, closer to home, restaurants, public transit, highway and more.

We are all looking forward to the move – currently targeted for the last week in September.

Until next time…
AJ
